State-owned Defence PSU Stock, Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL) reported December quarter results on Thursday, January 30, surpassing expectations and higher on a year-on-year basis across all parameters. Net profit increased by 47.3% from the previous year to Rs 1,316 crore.
Revenue for the quarter stood at Rs 5,756 crore, which is a growth of 39% from the year-ago quarter. BEL's Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) increased by 57.5% year-on-year to Rs 1,653 crore while the EBITDA margin expanded by 330 basis points from last year to 28.7% from 25.4%.

Shares of Bharat Electronics are currently trading 2.4% higher post the earnings announcement at Rs 273.6. The stock is down 7% so far in the month of January.
