HAL Q3 results, net profit rises 14% to Rs 1,440 crore, declares interim dividend

Revenue from operations advanced 14.78% to Rs 6,957.31 crore in the latest October-December quarter, compared to Rs 6,061.28 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), a defence PSU, reported a 14.13% increase in its consolidated profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 1,439.79 crore during the current fiscal year's third quarter. In the year-ago period, the net profit was Rs 1,261.51 crore.

Revenue from operations advanced 14.78% to Rs 6,957.31 crore in the latest October-December quarter, compared to Rs 6,061.28 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. 

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) rose 17.2% to Rs 1,681 crore in the quarter ended December 2024 as against Rs 1,434 crore in Q3 FY24. The EBITDA margin was 24.2% this year compared to 23.7% last year.

The board has also declared an interim dividend of Rs 25 per equity share. The record date has been fixed as February 18. The dividend will be paid to all the eligible shareholders by March 14, 2025. HAL shares were trading in negative territory, the stock was down 1.96% to Rs 3,577.75 apiece on the NSE.
