NFL Bentonite Sulphur Plant at Panipat celebrates 3rd Foundation Day
Sulphur: In Sept 2016, it was an idea. After three years, it is a sought after product by farming community.
The foundation stone of Bentonite Sulphur plant at Panipat was laid on 8th Sept, 2016 and it started production on 20th December 2017.
The plant, with a capacity to produce 25000 MT Bentonite Sulphur per annum, is a Make in India initiative of NFL. This is the first inland plant by any Public Sector company in India. The company is presently supplying this product in 8 states in country.
The company is increasing sale of Bentonite Sulphur with every passing year. In 2018-19, NFL sold 8,000 MT of Bentonite Sulphur and intends to reach a figure of 12,000 MT this year.Sh Manoj Mishra, C&MD has congratulated all employees, specifically of Panipat unit, for successful operations of this young plant and scaling up its capacity over the years.Bentonite Sulphur is used to compensate for Sulphur deficiency in soil. It is also used as a source of soil amendment in alkaline and salty soils.
