Delhi Public School wins CSI WIZKID 2019 Quiz Contest

Visakhapatnam: Computer Society of India (CSI), Visakhapatnam Chapter conducted the 8th edition of the prestigious Quiz Contest, 'WIZKID 2019' at Ukkunagaram Club, Steel Plant Township, Visakhapatnam for the school children of Classes 8th to 10th. There is an overwhelming response from the student fraternity. Around 600 school students from 45 schools from Vizag district participated in the Quiz.

 

Shri K C Das, Director (Personnel), RINL, & Chairman, CSI, Visakhapatnam Chapter, inaugurated the program by lighting up the lamp in presence of Shri R Nagarajan, ED (Projects) I/c, RINL,  Dr B Govardhana Reddy, Secretary, CSI, Shri P Balaramu, Treasurer, CSI.

 

Inaugurating the program, Shri K C Das said that that the Vizag CSI Chapter is doing a number of activities for increasing the awareness of Information Technology in common public. He mentioned that the competition like Quiz is a very good platform to sharpen their knowledge of young minds and it involves learning with fun both in and out of their regular curriculum. He exhorted the kids to utilize the CSI platform for learning and development as well as to showcase their skills.

 

Shri OR Ramani, Executive Director ( Works) I/c RINL  distributed the prizes to the winning teams.

 

Shri J Rahul, AGM (HRD), Visakhapatnam Steel plant and National Champion of various major Quiz contests acted as  Quizmaster. The Quiz was conducted in three challenging phases. The finalists qualified through a tough written Elimination round and a gruelling Semifinal. The Finals event was sensational and nail-biting.
