Steel Minister visits MECON Ltd plant in Ranchi
RANCHI.Union Steel Minister Chaudhary Birender Singh visited MECON Limited, a premier consultancy Public Sector Undertaking, under Ministry of Steel, Govt. of India in Ranchi and reviewed its performance.
Atul Bhatt, CMD, MECON and Directors of MECON received him at Corporate Office. Tribal girls in colourful attire of Jharkhand welcomed the Steel Minister.
While reviewing the performance, MECON CMD briefed the minister on future business plans in the diverse field which can improve the financial health. On this occasion, the minister launched the two major indigenous designs of MECON – 1 MTPA Coke Oven Battery (ANGARA 7.1) & 4250 M3 Blast Furnace (LOHA 4250 M3).
Addressing the MECON employees, the minister expressed happiness on such developments which can strengthen ‘Make in India’ initiative leading to boost to manufacturing sector, saving of foreign exchange and reduction in dependency on foreign technology supplier. Millennium post
