IndianOil Southern Region Pipelines Organised CSR Mega Camp

Bangalore: Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Southern Region Pipelines as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility had organised a mega camp for distribution of aids and appliances to 867 differently abled persons in Madurai district, Tamil Nadu on 2nd February 2019 in association with ALIMCO, Bangalore.  
 
Shri D. S. Nanaware, ED (SRPL) inaugurated the camp with the lighting of the lamp, in presence of Co-operative Minister, Govt. of Tamil Nadu Shri Sellur K. Raju, Revenue & Disaster Management Minister, Govt. of Tamil Nadu, Shri R. B. Udhayakumar, Member of Parliament from Virudhunagar, Shri T. Radhakrishnan, Member of Parliament Madurai, Shri K. Gopalakrishnan, Member of Parliament Theni, Shri R. Parthiban, Members of Legislative Assembly -  Shri B. V. Rajan Chellappa (Madurai North), Shri P. Neethipathi (Usilampatti), Shri K. Manickam (Solavanthan), Shri Periyapullan (Melur), Shri P. Moorthy (Madurai East), Shri P.T.R. Palanivel Thiyagarajan (Madurai central). The meeting was also presided over by District Collector Dr. S. Natarajan IAS. 
 
In this camp 3036 aids and appliances like wheelchairs,  tricycles, motorised tricycles, etc., for locomotion disability persons, CP chairs, MR kits, etc.,  for mentally retarded persons, braille canes, smart canes, braille kits, etc., for visually impaired, hearing aids for hearing impaired and artificial limbs for orthopaedic disabilities  were distributed.  Over 2000 people attended the camp.
 
ED (SRPL) in his inaugural address stated that IOCL is committed for uplifting societies along pipeline ROW. Sh. R. B. Udhayakumar, Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management appreciated the efforts of IOCL for reaching to the beneficiaries directly and thanked IOCL for its effort for improving the livelihood of the differently abled people.
 
District Collector in his address has requested IOCL for conducting more such programs for the differently abled in Madurai district.  To express their gratitude the differently abled children performed various cultural activities during the camp. 
 
On the occasion officials from IOCL CGM (C) Shri S. Thangaraj, DGM (CSR) Shri P. Ramakishore and COM, Shri K. Srinivasalu and Government officials of Tamil Nadu were present.
