Shri B. Ganeshan takes Charge as the MD of AFC India Ltd.
Mumbai: Shri B. Ganeshan has taken charge as the Managing Director of AFC India Ltd. (Formerly, Agricultural Finance Corporation) on 22nd July 2019.
Prior to this appointment, Shri Ganeshan was serving Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India. Shri Ganeshan has served for over 22 years in NABARD as well as various Ministries of Government of India viz Ministry of Power, Ministry of Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Ministry of Shipping and other Premier National Level institutions in senior administrative capacities. He also has a stint as Reginal Manager in Agriculture Insurance Co. of India (AIC).
Shri Ganeshan brings with him deep knowledge, hands-on exposure and extensive experience of over three decades in development consultancy in the fields of agriculture, rural development and other social sectors. He has been the Project Director, Team Leader in More than 100 consulting projects in diverse areas in agriculture, supply chain integration & agri-business development, horticulture, rural infrastructure development, financial inclusion, Micro-finance, micro-enterprise development, training & capacity building.
Shri Ganeshan possesses a masters' degree in political science and is an alumnus of Delhi University's Law Centre. He has also undergone advanced diploma courses in EXIM Management and Intellectual Property Rights.
