SJVN starts Roti Bank at Cancer Hospital Shimla
Shimla: SJVN Limited, a socially responsible Organization has been undertaking new endeavour for the welfare and benefit of underprivileged people of the society by starting a Roti Bank at Shimla for distribution at Cancer Hospital, Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) Shimla.
Under the visionary guidance and leadership of Chairman & Managing Director Shri Nand Lal Sharma, a Roti Bank has been started at Shakti Sadan, the SJVN Head Quarters at Shanan, Shimla for providing rotis to the attendants of patients admitted in the Cancer Hospital, IGMC Shimla.
Chairman & Managing Director Shri Nand Lal Sharma, along with Director (Finance) Shri A. S. Bindra, Director (Electrical) Shri R. K. Bansal, Director (Civil) Shri Kanwar Singh, Director (Personnel) Mrs Geeta Kapur, Shri S. S. Negi, CVO inaugurated SJVN Roti Bank by handing over approximately 1500 rotis contributed by employees of SJVN to Shri Sarbjeet Singh Bobby of Almighty Blessings, Shimla.
On this occasion, Shri Nand Lal Sharma said that the concept of helping the needy and underprivileged is in consonance with SJVN’s belief of extending helping hand to the needy for the betterment of the society. Every Wednesday, SJVN Roti Bank will collect rotis voluntarily contributed by the employees and donate it for further distribution among the attendants of the cancer patients in IGMC, Shimla.
