GRSE signs MoU in Sweden and Denmark for providing marine equipment services
The collaboration will leverage the combined capabilities and technical know-how of both organizations in manufacturing propulsion-related equipment and systems, with a particular focus on ongoing and future governmental projects.

New Delhi: State-owned GRSE has declared that during an official delegation visit to Sweden and Denmark, the Company has entered into the following Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs):
Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE), with its long-standing excellence in supplying marine engineering products, signed a MoU with M/s Berg Propulsion, Sweden, a global leader in the development, manufacturing, and supply of marine propulsion systems. This MoU marks a strategic step towards enhancing GRSE’s portfolio in the marine equipment market.

On 6 Jun 2025, GRSE signed a MoU with M/s SunStone, Denmark, a leading provider of expedition cruise vessels. This MoU sets the stage for future collaboration in the areas of expedition cruise vessels.

KG, Germany, for the construction of four follow-on 7,500 DWT Multi-Purpose Vessels. These vessels will be built as a continuation of the eight vessels currently under construction at GRSE’s Kolkata shipyard.
The follow-on vessels will feature hybrid propulsion systems and comply with the latest cybersecurity standards. The firm contract for these vessels is expected to be finalized by 31 August 2025.
