NLCIL, APDCL Ink Deal for 500 MW Solar Plant in Assam
The agreement pertains to the development of a 500 MW solar power plant at Lahorijan, Karbi Anglong District, Assam.

New Delhi: NLC India Limited (NLCIL) marked a significant milestone at the 2nd North-East Mining Ministers’ Conclave held in Guwahati with the formal handover of the Deed of Agreement by Shri Rakesh Kumar, Managing Director, Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL), to Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director, NLCIL.

Under this partnership, APDCL will transfer 8,000 bighas of land to NIRL Assam Renewables Limited (NARL)—a joint venture between APDCL and NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), the green energy arm of NLCIL. Cabinet Ministers and state ministers graced the event along with Secretaries.
