Minister Puri brought to their attention how under the visionary leadership of PM Narendra Modi, India was able to successfully navigate geopolitical adversities to ensure affordability and availability of energy for our citizens without any shortage. Infact, when the fuel prices were skyrocketing all over the world, India was the only country where the prices came down, he states that.
"We still sell LPG at the cheapest prices in the world despite being an importer. More than 10.33 crore Ujjwala families are able to cook food at just Rs 6 per day due to affordable fuel. The members of the committee were happy to know the size and magnitude of the Indian energy landscape and we now have energy infrastructure across the nation including in our rural areas which earlier did not have easy availability."
