New Delhi: Union Petroleum Minister Shri Hardeep Singh Puri with officials of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India held a brainstorming session, discussed the critical challenges and opportunities facing the energy sector & the future of Indian oil & gas sector in the 6th series of such sessions in aspirational district Ri Bhoi of Meghalaya.
They reviewed ideas and suggestions for better monetisation of oil sector cross holdings and JVs, further opportunities and challenges in India’s biofuels blending programme - global learnings from Brazil and US and new biofuel mandate in Japan, review of the 2G & 3G plants, creation of a corpus for future readiness of energy PSUs which invest in startups, future technologies and new companies.
The Minister also discussed ways for Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to enhance their physical and financial performance.
