MoSDE & IGNOU Sign MoU to Expand Skill Development Across India

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening and expanding skill development initiatives to make India’s youth more job-ready.

Key Highlights

• 70 IGNOU Regional Centres across the country will host Skill Centres under PMKVY, offering training aligned with industry requirements and national skill standards.

• The collaboration will integrate higher education with skill training through credit-linked learning models.

• The partnership will promote entrepreneurship, employability, and continuous upskilling, leveraging blended learning and digital platforms.

• The initiative is expected to enhance accessibility, strengthen training infrastructure, and create a more skilled and future-ready workforce.
