Niranjan Bhalerao Selected as Director (Finance) of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd — PESB recommends IOCL's Niranjan Bhalerao as Director Finance of GRSE

New Delhi. Shri Niranjan Bhalerao, who is currently the Executive Director of Finance at Indian Oil Corporation Limited, has been chosen for the position of Director of Finance at Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE). This company is a Schedule 'A' Defence PSU under the Ministry of Defence.

The selection happened during the 58th meeting of the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on July 5, 2025, at 9:30 AM. Shri Bhalerao was selected from a group of nine senior finance professionals from top public sector undertakings, including IOCL, NTPC, BHEL, NALCO, NMDC, MTNL, and Bengal Chemicals.

The shortlisted candidates were:

- Srikumar Ghose Choudhury (Bengal Chemicals)
- Anirudh Prasad Singh (MTNL)
- Jahangeer Alam Ansari (IOCL)
- Santanu Sinha (NTPC)
- Ashutosh (BHEL)
- Himanshu Sekhar Panda (NALCO)
- Ajit Kumar Swain (NALCO)
- Pradip Kumar Mahapatra (NMDC)

Shri Bhalerao’s appointment will be finalized after approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
