Disinvestment of SCI: Meeting led by Cabinet Secretary to finalize EoI
New Delhi: A Meeting on Disinvestment of Shipping Corporation of India will be held on December 14, 2020, will be chair by the Core Group of Secretaries to finalise the Expression of Interest(EoI), according to the sources. EoI may get final approval on this disinvestment meet.
While on disinvestment processing the foreign investors are showing good interest, the SCI divestment government received good responses from foreign as well as domestic players. On the basis of their feedback investment advisor finalize the draft of EoI.
Government hopes domestic, foreign players, global funds to be interested in SCI. During initial discussions players like Essar Shipping, Adani, GE Shipping, Vedanta, Dubai Port World have expressed interest in Shipping Corp, according to source. Government also decided to sell its entire 63.75% stake in SCI.
