50th National Safety Day at NTPC Bongaigaon

Various representatives from contractual workers, BHEL and other site engagement workers also spoke on the importance of the day and how to maintain safe practices in the plant and various areas.

50th National Safety Day at NTPC Bongaigaon

Bongaigaon: NTPC Bongaigaon under the stewardship of Shri Subrata Mandal, CGM, observed 50th National Safety Day on 4 March 2021 with energy and elan.

Shri Mandal unfurled the Safety Flag at plant premises in presence of NTPC employees, CISF employees and contract workers. Following the hoisting of the Safety flag, Shri Mandal delivered ‘National Safety Day’ speech and administered safety pledge to all employees and contract workers.  Shri Mandal in his speech underlined the importance of safety at work place and laid importance of adhering to Safety Norms in all operations of the plant.  

Shri T Ravinder, GM (O and M), Shri Ramakanta Panda, GM(Maintenance), Shri Arunashis Das, AGM (Projects), Shri A.K. Datta, AGM(TS), Shri A K Chawla, AGM(HR), Shri Arun Kumar Kundu, AGM(MM), Shri B.C Badu, AGM (ME) and other senior officials of the station were present on the occasion. Earlier Shri Arunashis Das, AGM (Projects) and Shri A. K. Kundu, AGM(MM) also highlighted the various activities taken by the station towards safety.

Various winners were felicitated with certificates and prizes under the White Rhino Safety Award 2021, Safety Zone Award 2021 organized on an annual basis at NTPC Bongaigaon were presented to Employees and Departments who have contributed to the various safety initiatives and taken proactive steps towards promotion of safety measures at the station. Prizes for various competitions held since last week at the station to mark the safety day were presented by the Shri Mandal and senior officials of the station. Various CISF employees who have ensured safety of the plant were also honored on the occasion.

Employees, CISF officials and office bearers of Unions and Associations participated during the day in large numbers.
