BVFCL Celebrated National Handloom Day
New Delhi: the 6th National Handloom Day in memory of the Swadeshi Movement launched on this very day in 1950. From Pashmina to Kanjeevaram and Bandhani to Muga Silk, India is home to exquisite forms of handloom textiles created by master weavers.
The Union Government had declared 7th of August as the National Handloom Day in July 2015 with the objective of generating awareness about the importance of the handloom industry to the socio economic development of the country.
