CIL organised cancer awareness camp
New Delhi: CIL organised a “Cancer awareness camp” for women at Pathakhera regional hospital, Western Coalfields Ltd. One of the most effective ways to fight cancer is to detect it in the early stages when it is treatable.
The doctors educated the women about the symptoms to look out for and recognise the warning signs. This would help them to see a doctor immediately and seek timely treatment.
The doctors advised that if the symptoms given below persist for two to three weeks, then consult a doctor immediately:
1. Mouth ulcers
2. Red or white spots in the mouth
3. Constant pain in mouth
4. Lumps in the cheeks or throat
5. Difficulty in chewing or swallowing or numbness of the tongue or part of the mouth
6. Throat pain
7. Jaw pain or swelling and constant bad breath
8. Weight loss
