CMPDI inks MoU with Govt of Jharkhand

New Delhi: Central Mine Planning & Design Institute (CMPDI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Mines & Geology (DMG), Govt. of Jharkhand for exploration and allied activities for non-coal minerals in Jharkhand.
This MoU is valid for a period of three years and will help the state of Jharkhand to utilize its proven reserves for further development of industrial activities and to increase the state's revenue. DMG is the nodal agency of Jharkhand for carrying out an assessment of mineral deposits with NMET (National Mineral Exploration Trust) funds.
The MoU was signed by Shri. Manoj Khadiya, HoD, Business Development (BD), CMPDI, and Shri. Vijay Kumar Ojha, Director, Geology, Govt. of Jharkhand. Shri. Pramod Agrawal, Chairman, CIL joined from CIL, Kolkata, via Video Conferencing. Shri. Agrawal speaking on the occasion said that this MoU has immense potential for the development of mineral resources including scientific exploration and commercial exploitation of minerals, for development of mineral-based industries, employment generation, revenue generation, and in turn, for the overall development of Jharkhand State.
