CMPDI signed MoU with IIT-KGP

New Delhi: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL) and Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT-KGP) on 07.02. 2020 at Ranchi for carrying out analysis of coal samples from different exploration camps. The agreement is for a period of two years wherein CMPDI will entrust IIT-KGP with 3000m of coal-cores annually to carry out different analytical tests to determine the quality of coal samples for incorporating in Geological Reports.
 
The MOU was signed by Shri R.N. Jha, Director (Technical/RD&T/CRD), CMPDIL and Shri Prof (Dr) S.K. Pal, Professor In-Charge of CT Lab, Mining Engg. Deptt., Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT-KGP). On this occasion, Dr. A.K. Panda, GM (Exploration); Shri A. Ravi Shankar, General Manager (Coal Characterisation Lab); Shri N. Rama Krishna, General Manager (Coal Characterisation Lab); Ms. Zeba Imam, Chief Manager (Coal Characterisations Lab) from CMPDI, Ranchi and Dr. P.K. Roy, Sr. Technical Manager of IIT-KGP were present.
