Coal India showed its November positive growth
Kolkata: Coal India Limited, one of the largest coal-producing company in the world and a Maharatna public sector undertaking, said its overall takeoff of coal increased by 8 % in November. In Nov 2019 CIL had produced 50 MT of coal, and in the last month, they produced 51.3 million tonnes.
This major increment is encouraged by increased demand for the dry fuel from non-power sectors. therefore the increase in the supply of coal by India to non-power sectors was boost by 46 percent during this month.
"CIL's off-take was 51.3 million tonnes (MTs) in November of the ongoing fiscal, an increase of 3.8 MT compared to 47.5 MTs of the same month last year," CIL mentioned.
"We are reorienting our marketing plans. With the demand from the power sector yet to boom fully we are concentrating our efforts on non-power consumers to expand our sales volume. Till there is demand resurgence from the power sector, we shall follow this, which is helping us," a senior executive of the company said.
