Goodwill Gesture of KIOCL Limited on COVID-19 Pandemic
KIOCL has been distributing masks to the health care workers, police personnel, poor citizens across Bengaluru.
New Delhi: KIOCL Limited, (a Govt. of India Enterprise), under Ministry of Steel, a port-based EOU is currently in the business of Iron Ore Pelletization in the State of Karnataka. KIOCL has always been a front-runner in its obligations towards Corporate Social Responsibility. It’s been helping the needy people immediately whenever they are in crises due to Natural Calamity.
The ongoing lockdown, in the wake of the covid-19 pandemic, has affected the lives of some of the most vulnerable communities across Bengaluru. As part of our continuing effort and fight to protect a poor section of the society from Covid-19 second wave and in line with the PM Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana, KIOCL distributed Groceries and essential supplies Kits to the underprivileged people.
The Humanitarian Service during COVID-19 Lockdown was led by KIOCL CMD Shri MV Subba Rao. Nearly 100 families were supplied grocery kits today at Jakkasandra ward, Bengaluru. Shri T. Saminathan, Director (Commercial), and Shri Bhaskara Reddy KV, Director (P&P) along with the local corporator were present on the occasion.
Precautions like social distancing and wearing of masks etc were followed during the distribution. The Jakkasandra ward Corporator Smt. Saraswathi appreciated the KIOCL gesture during this hour of a pandemic.
