IRCON contributes rs 20.5 crore to PM CARES fund
New Delhi: Ircon International Limited (IRCON) has come forward to provide an additional financial assistance of Rs. 15.5 crore to Prime Minister CARES Fund for fighting COVID-19. This amount is in addition to Rs 5 crore assistance announced earlier. Company’s total contribution to PM-CARES Fund now amounts to Rs 20.5 crore, including contribution of Rs 51 lakh by the employees.
Shri S. K. Chaudhary, Chairman & Managing Director, IRCON said that the Covid-19 is one of the biggest challenges that our country is facing and it has been unprecedented in its severity. We at IRCON, has always been at the forefront in times of need for the country. The biggest need at this time is to be united and strengthen the hands of the Government of India. We as responsible company have been assessing the situation and have decided to enhance our contribution.
Further, Shri S. K. Chaudhary said that, IRCON, through the years has been partnering with the Government towards nation building. We are confident that as a nation, we will be able to overcome this exceptional situation and emerge a stronger nation.
IRCON employees have also come forward and supported company’s endeavor by donating their one day’s salary for this COVID-19 fund. Total amount of Rs 51 lakh was contributed by all employee of Ircon International Ltd.
At IRCON, workplace safety of our employees’ is of paramount importance. We have been proactively implementing all precautionary measures in accordance with COVID-19 advisories of Government of India. Further, we have ensured that labourer and staffs at various sites are properly taken care of and are provided all support.
