ITDC observes Vigilance Awareness Week
New Delhi: India Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. (ITDC) hospitality major under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India observed ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’, starting October 28th to November 02nd, 2019. The theme this year is “Integrity – A way of life”.
All the departments of ITDC organised various activities & events to sensitise people about the threat posed by corruption and how people can collectively fight against it.
An oath taking ceremony was held which was presided by Mr. Piyush Tiwari, Director (Commercial & Marketing), ITDC in the presence of Mr. Pradip K Das, Director (Finance), ITDC and Mr. Vinayak Garg, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), ITDC along with ITDC staff and executives.
Addressing the gathering Mr. Tiwari said, “India is changing and so are we. Our aim is make everyone aware and bring them together to fight against corruption.”
Mr. Vinayak Garg, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), ITDC who was also present at the event said, “Our purpose is to grow & make great strides in the rightful way. ITDC has initiated a series of SOPs to ensure that the system becomes better and we grow to newer height. “
In order to promote transparency at work & better coordination among different departments, ITDC also organised a vendors interaction meet & workshops / sensitization programs for employees on policies/ procedures of the organisations.
A Nukkad Natak was presented by the students of Ashok Institute of Hospitality &Tourism Management (AIH&TM) emphasising how corruption affects development of a country.
