Sambalpur: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited is observing Vigilance Awareness Week-2020 in all its mines, areas & HQ from 27th October – 2nd November, 2020. The theme for Vigilance Awareness Week for 2020 is “Vigilant India, Prosperous India”. The observance of the week inaugurated by Shri B.N.Shukla, CMD, MCL through video conferencing in the presence of All FDs of MCL and Shri B.P.Sharma, CVO, MCL .
At the headquarters, the integrity pledge was administered by Shri O.P. Singh, Director(T/Ops.) to employees after hoisting the vigilance flag and lighting the vigilance torch in the presence of all FDs of MCL. On this occasion a Vigilance Rath was also flagged off by all the FDs of MCL to create vigilance awareness among public.
Similar events were organised at all the areas/units of the company.MCL is conducting various activities with zeal and enthusiasm to achieve Chief Vigilance Commission’s objective to eliminate corruption in public life.
During this Vigilance Awareness Week, It is endeavoured to create awareness towards the policy of achieving transparency, accountability and corruption free governance through our outreach activities like display of banners and posters at prominent office locations and places with public interface. Quiz competitions, debate, essay writing and slogan writing on “Vigilant India, Prosperous India” are being organized across all areas and HQ of MCL, so as to generate healthy debate on the ill effects of corruption and its prevention by being vigilant and contributing towards the prosperity of our country.
