NBCC Bagged Rs. 228 Cr. Order to Redevelop WHO Building

New Delhi: NBCC (India) Limited, has bagged an order of Rs 228 cr for the redevelopment of World Health Organisation (WHO)SEARO building in New Delhi. 
 
In presence of Shri Jaggat Prakash Nadda, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India, a Tripartite Memorandum of Agreement was signed among Smt. Preeti Sudan, Secretary, MoHFW; Smt. Poonam Khetrapal Singh, Regional Director WHO-SEARO and Shri Rajendra Chaudhari, Director (Commercial), NBCC (India) Ltd. Another bipartite agreement was signed between Shri Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary (International Health) MoHFW and Director (Commercial), NBCC.
 
NBCC has been awarded the work as Project Management Consultant (PMC) for construction and redevelopment of the building. NBCC will be responsible for Designing, Construction and Procurement of the project. 
 
The WHO-SEARO office in New Delhi acts as the regional office for the organisation in South-East Asia and provides leadership on health matters, articulates evidence-based policy options, provides technical support to countries in the region and monitors health trends.
 
Speaking on the development, NBCC Chairman-cum-Managing Director Dr. Anoop Kumar Mittal said, 'Proficiency in the construction space along with an impeccable track record of delivering within the stipulated time period has helped NBCC secure prestigious construction projects across the country. We are proud to associate with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for the development of the WHO – SEARO building'.
 
NBCC has been developing state-of-the-art office buildings like the headquarters of the NIA, CBI and the new headquarter of Central Information Commission (CIC).
