NTPC awarded World’s largest Green Hydrogen Micro-grid Project to Bloom Energy India
The hydrogen would be produced using the advanced 240 kW Solid Oxide Electrolyser by taking input power from the nearby Floating Solar project.
Simhadri: The Foundation Stone for World’s largest Green Hydrogen Micro-grid Project was laid by the Shri Diwakar Kaushik, Chief General Manager, Simhadri on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at NTPC Simhadri. The Ceremony took place in the presence of senior officials from USSC Simhadri, Representatives from the Union, and the Association.
NTPC has awarded the project of ‘Standalone Fuel-Cell based 50 kW Micro-grid Pilot project with hydrogen production using electrolyzer’ to M/s Bloom Energy India Pvt Ltd., Bangalore at NTPC Simhadri (Andhra Pradesh). This will be India’s first Green Hydrogen-based Energy Storage Project and one of the world’s largest.
