Oil and Gas PSUs committed to boost employment
New Delhi: Our oil & gas PSUs are committed to boost employment and give momentum to economic growth under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi ji.
Fueling Indias Growth, oil & gas entities are working to further grow the green shoots of economic revival in the post-Covid world. We have progressively kick-started economic activities on 8,363 projects involving expenditure of ?1.62 lakh crore in FY 2020-21. Execution of these projects will generate around 24.27 crore man-days of employment in this year alone.
As on 15th August 2020, our oil and gas PSUs have spent ?37,872 crore towards the completion of these projects, which have generated 6.6 crore man-days of employment. Wages of ?3,258 crore has been paid to labour for the period 20th April—15th August.
Hon. PM Shri Narendra Modi's idea of Aatma Nirbhar Bharat has become a clarion call for PSUs of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India.
Enhancing energy accessibility, creating new opportunities and generating a virtuous cycle of investments, they are strengthening the economy and Fueling Indias Growth.
