POSOCO wins 24th Inter CPSU Carrom Tournament
Eleven teams from Power Sector PSUs (09), CEA and Ministry of Power participated in the tournament.
New Delhi: Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO) bagged 1st position in Men’s Doubles & 2nd position in Team Championship of 24th Inter CPSU Carrom Tournament held at THDC India Limited, Rishikesh under the aegis of Power Sports Control Board (PSCB), Ministry of Power, Govt of India.
Eleven teams from Power Sector PSUs (09), CEA and Ministry of Power participated in the tournament.
Sh. Keshab Borah & Sh. Utpal Das of North Eastern Regional Load Despatch Centre (NERLDC) played with full enthusiasm to beat the experienced players from nine teams to reach Men Double's final and defeat CEA in the final.
In team events, POSOCO played finals and bagged 1st runner-up position. POSOCO women’s team also played up to the level of the semi-final.
Congratulating the players, Shri KVS Baba CMD POSOCO said “POSOCO always promotes different sports activities by motivating its employees to participate in tournaments like Cricket, Table Tennis, Badminton, Carrom etc. organised by different PSUs in association with Power Sports Control Board (PSCB) on regular basis”.
