This sub-station shall be connected with ISTS at the existing 765/400 kV Gaya sub-station of POWERGRID at one end and Nabinagar (3x660 MW) generation project at another end through high capacity 400 kV double circuit lines.

Powergrid dedicates Chandauti Substation under Bharat ka Amrit Mahotsav

Gaya, Bihar: 400/220/132 kV sub-station of POWERGRID was dedicated today during the Bharat ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations which mark 75 years of independence. The sub-station shall have a transformation capacity of 2100 MVA. The substation will be a major link between the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) and the state network of Bihar.

 

This sub-station shall be connected with ISTS at the existing 765/400 kV Gaya sub-station of POWERGRID at one end and Nabinagar (3x660 MW) generation project at another end through high capacity 400 kV double circuit lines. Thus, the Chandauti sub-station shall help in bringing additional power from National Grid and Nabinagar generation project to the Gaya, Rohtas, and Aurangabad districts with security and reliability, by supplying power to the existing sub-stations of BSPTCL located at Chandauti, Bodhgaya, Rafiganj, and Sonenagar. 

 

The sub-station shall be connected to the 765/400 kV Gaya sub-station and shall further strengthen the National Grid interconnection of the state.
