RINL CMD inaugurates all india steel medical officers conference

New Delhi: The 41st edition of the All India Steel Medical Officers Conference (AISMOC-2020) was inaugurated at the TTI Auditorium, Ukkunagaram, here on Friday. Sri P K Rath, CMD, RINL, VSP graced the occasion as chief guest and inaugurated the conference.

 

While addressing the medical professionals, Sri PK Rath welcomed the participants and expressed confidence that this conference would not only enable the participants to enrich their knowledge with the scientific advancements that are taking place in the field of medicine but also enable them to treat the employees of various steel plants in a better way so that employees, organization and society are benefited at large. RINL has been attaching high importance to the health care and needs of the employees right from the beginning, he added.

 

Sri KC Das, Director (Personnel), while speaking on the occasion stressed upon preventive approach as the need of the day - rather than a post-illness breakdown management. He exhorted the delegates to be useful to mankind, as a respectable citizen and become a cherished ornament to our society through benevolence and charity in medical service.

 

 “To create great work, the employees’ health, wellbeing and happiness is the most important factor” said Sri Debashish Ray, ED(HR) & HOD (Medical) who shared some of the initiatives that had been taken up by RINL as a part of improving Medical & Health Services to employees of RINL and their family members.

 

Sri DK Mohanty, Director (Commercial), Sri KK Ghosh, Director (Projects), Sri AK Saxena, Director (Operations), Sri PJ Vijayakar, CVO and senior officials of the plant were present on the occasion.

 

Dr G. Uma, GM (Medical) and Organising Chairperson, Dr. Gargeyi GM (Radiology) and Organising Secretary- AISMOC 2020, Dr Kaparde  and senior Doctors were present on the  occasion.Later, the dignitaries release a souvenir brought out the occasion.

 

This is the 4th time, since its inception in 1980, that AISMOC- 2020 is being hosted by Vishakha Steel General Hospital, RINL, VSP. It is being attended by large number of Medical Professional delegates from all over the country from Steel Industry.

 

AISMOC- 2020 Visakhapatnam would be a model conference and delegate centric. It’s going to be the first of its kind, where one would witness improved academics with compact scientific sessions along with social events. It is the first forum for many of the unique initiatives like Industrial Health with Zero Accident policy undertaken by the RINL, said sources.
