"Please tell that the cell management has accepted the matter of salary agreement, but has also spoken about not giving arrears. The pay agreement is pending since January 1, 2017. The salary agreement is stalled due to government guidelines. For three consecutive years, orders were issued not to compromise the salary in the loss-making units, which was also affected by SAIL personnel. Now SAIL has started making profits."

Steel Executive Federation of India (SAFE) Chairman Narendra Kumar Banchore said, "the provision of funds has boosted expectations. SAIL management has prepared the salary agreement. Now it is waiting to be implemented. There is a dispute about the matter of arrears. No one will agree without arrears. Sephi has clearly stated that the salary agreement should be done as soon as possible. Are also willing to take arrears later. Depending on the profit, fixing 15 to 20 percent amount for arrears will boost everyone's morale."
