SJVN Paid Rs 179.35 Crore As Interim Dividend To Govt Of Himachal Pradesh
Shimla: Shri Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director informed that SJVN has paid Rs. 179.35 Crore as Interim Dividend to Government of Himachal Pradesh. The interim dividend cheque was handed over to Shri Jai Ram Thakur, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh by Smt. Geeta Kapur, Director (Personnel), SJVN in the presence of Sh. D.P. Kaushal, Chief GM(HR) and Sh. D. Dash, Chief GM (Finance).
On this occasion, Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, CMD, told that for financial year 2019-20 an interim dividend of Rs. 668.07 crores has been declared by the company. He said that Rs.400.32 crore has been paid to Government of India and Rs. 88.40 crores are being paid to public shareholders as interim dividend. Government of Himachal Pradesh is holding 26.85% shares of company while 59.92% shares are with Government of India &rest 13.23% are with public.
Sh. Sharma further informed that SJVN has paid a total dividend of Rs 1891.23 Crore till date to Govt of Himachal Pradesh on equity of Rs 1055.01 Crore. While, till date company has paid Rs.7356.56 crore as dividend to its shareholders. For the Financial Year (2019-20) against the MoU target of 9100 Million Units of electricity generation, SJVN has generated more than9670 Million Units.
