Shri A. P. Panda CMD SECL planting a sapling at the SECL
New Delhi: Vriksharopan Abhiyan 2020 was inaugurated by Shri. Amit Shah, Hon'ble Home Minister, GoI and Shri. Prahlad Joshi, Hon'ble Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines, GoI in presence of Shri. Anil Jain, Secretary, Ministry of Coal, GoI, on 23.07.2020 through video conferencing.
In pursuance of the Vriksharopan Abhiyan 2020, SECL on 23.07.2020, has undertaken massive plantation drive in its command area. It started with Shri. A. P. Panda, CMD, SECL planting a sapling at the SECL Headquarters in Bilaspur. On the occasion, plantation was further continued by Dr. R. S. Jha, DP, Shri. B. P. Sharma, CVO, Shri. R. K. Nigam, DTO, Shri. M. K. Prasad, DT(P&P) and Shri. S. M. Chaudhury, DF, SECL.
Vriksharopan Abhiyan 2020 was undertaken in SECL HQ and all its areas. In single day on 23rd July, 2020 itself, 13000 saplings are to be planted and 50,000 saplings are to be distributed. SECL has planned to plant total of 6.5 lakh saplings during FY 2020-21.
The effort will help to enlarge green cover and better our environment.
