Shri Abhay Choudhary assumes charge of Director Projects of POWERGRID
He has been assigned various challenging tasks during his tenure and was deeply associated with the construction of high capacity transmission corridors in Jharkhand and Odisha along with RGGVY and APDRP projects in Bihar.

NEW DELHI: Shri Abhay Choudhary has assumed the charge of Director (Projects) of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID). Prior to this assignment, he has been working as Executive Director (Commercial & Regulatory Cell) along with charge of CMD Coordination Cell.
He is an electrical engineering graduate from NIT Durgapur and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IMT Ghaziabad. During his career spanning around 35 years in power sector, he has worked in various capacities in EHV Sub Stations and Transmission lines, both as an Operation & Maintenance executive as well as a construction engineer. Shri Abhay Choudhary is well acquainted with working in difficult terrains and extremist infested areas.
He has been assigned various challenging tasks during his tenure and was deeply associated with the construction of high capacity transmission corridors in Jharkhand and Odisha along with RGGVY and APDRP projects in Bihar. He also served as Executive Director of the North-Eastern Region from 2015 – 17.
