Shri P K Mishra GM Conferred Sustainable HR leader Award

Shri P.K.Mishra, is a HR generalist and presently holding the post of General Manager (HR, Admin, Security) in Braithwaite & Co. Ltd., (A Govt. of India Undertaking) under the Ministry of Railways, Kolkata which is a heavy Engineering and Wagon manufacturing Company of international repute. Shri Mishra had a consistently good academic career and he obtained his Master’s Degree in Personnel Management & Labour Welfare from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Orissa. And Diploma in Training & Development from Indian Society for Training & Development, New Delhi. 

 

Shri Mishra has over 24 years of experience in the field of Human Resource Management. Having joined Braithwaite & Co. Ltd in December 2000, he has successively been elevated to higher positions in the Organisation. Previously, he had worked with the Labour Directorate, Govt. of Orissa for a brief period after post-graduation and thereafter joined Burn Standard Co. Ltd, (A Govt. of India Undertaking) under BBUNL (Bharat Bhari Udyog Nigam Ltd) group comprising of Engineering & Refractories, at the beginning of his career.

 

Professionally, he is actively involved and keeps interests in

  

• Wages Salaries Administration / Pay revision structures

• Industrial Relations & Participative Management 

 

And, the associated domains of Human Resource Management. 

 

Shri Mishra stresses on Industry - Academia relations and synergy / bonding. 

 

As a student, he had also participated and presented papers on State Regulation of IR: Its Importance, Developments & Future in India and Child Labour: A Study in Cuttack City at national conventions of Indian Society of Labour Economics held in Bangalore University & Utkal University in 1989 & 1990 respectively.

 

Apart from his professional engagements in HRM, he has keen interest in literature and reading to keep himself abreast with the present. He is Self- motivated with an intense desire for professional excellence and growth.
