Shri R K Jain flagged off trials of newly built 351 km Bhaupur-Khurja trains
New Delhi: The first simultaneous and seamless Up & Down trial Trains on Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor’s newly built 351 km Bhaupur-Khurja section commenced successfully on December 11, 2020. The trains were flagged off by Shri R N Singh, the outgoing MD & PED Infra, Railway Board, Shri R K Jain, MD DFCCIL, Shri Anshuman Sharma Director PP, Shri Nanduri Srinivas, Director OP & BD, Shri Hari Mohan Gupta, Director Infrastructure, Shri Hira Ballabh, Director Finance.
The Down train was 58 BOXN empty having started from Faridabad Area of NCR and en route to Jharkhand Coalfield area. This train attained the Maximum speed of 100 kmph in the section. The average speed of approx. 70 kmph is achieved by this train Between New Khurja to New Bhaupur.
The 58 BOXN Coal Loaded freight train was hauled by WAG-9 (31149), 6000 horsepower loco loaded from Kustore siding of Adra Division of South Eastern Railway destined for National Fertilizer Ltd siding at Diwana.
