WCL distributes 60426 face masks and 1678 litres of hand wash
Nagpur: Western Coalfields Ltd,(WCL),is helping Maharastra & Madhya Pradesh fight COVID-19. It has dedicated 75 Beds for quarantine and isolation to fight COVID-19 in its hospitals located at Nagpur, Pench, Pathakhera, Ballarpur, Wani, Majri and Umrer.
WCL has also distributed 60,426 face masks and 1678 Litres of hand wash to its employees and people living in the vicinity of its operations in Maharastra & Madhya Pradesh. WCL also distributed ‘CoalNeer’ its purified drinking water to police men and women on duty during these tough times. WCL extended support of Rs. 125 lakhs as part of its CSR to the district administrations of Chandrapur, Nagpur and Yavatmal districts in Maharashtra and to Chindwara & Betul districts in Madhya Pradesh to fight COVID-19.
WCL is ensuring that its employees are maintaining a distance at the workplace and is sanitising its workplaces in its operations to fight COVID-19. It is also using fog cannons to sanitise residential areas.
