Will Whatsapp Pay give tough competition to Paytm Gpay PhonePe or other online payment apps
Not every user of the app will have the access to the new WhatsApp Payments India service right away.
New Delhi: After a long wait and many legal issues faced by WhatsApp, the new whatsapp pay feature is finally gone live in India the company said. WhatsApp mentioned in its blog that it wants to make money transferring as easy as sending messages on the app.
Currently, Indian citizens are using much other online payment application naming Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay (Which are popular) in these will Whatsapp will be successful in this his mission?
It depends on the users and WhatsApp having a larger audience in the market with almost 400 million monthly active users in India. With this heavy number, Whatsapp pay gets nod to launch with 20 million users initially by the National Payments Corporation of India. Not every user of the app will have the access to the new WhatsApp Payments India service right away.
