NEW DELHI- SJVN in association with IGMC Blood Bank, Shimla organized Blood Donation camp today at Corporate Headquarters, Shimla. The Blood Donation camp was inaugurated Sh. V. Sankaranarayanan, Executive Director, Sh. D Dash Executive Director & Sh. Shallinder Singh, Chief GM(HR), in presence of senior officers of SJVN. In today’s camp, in comparison to earlier record of 168 units set during last year 179 units of blood were donated.
On this occasion Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN said that in unwavering commitment to serve the community SJVN in association with IGMC blood bank, Shimla organized Blood Donation camp today at Corporate Headquarters, Shimla. This blood donation camp would be useful to cater to the needs of blood for the patients of various hospitals in and around Shimla.
Sh. Nand Lal Sharma further said that SJVN has been adopting various welfare measures for contributing in betterment of the society. He stated that as always SJVNites have been front runner in charitable contribution to the society and expressed happiness on the overwhelming participation towards this noble cause. 179 units of Blood were donated by the employees, their family members, Satluj Shri Ladies Club, Shimla and contractual workers, who enthusiastically volunteered for this life saving cause. He informed that during current financial year 789 units has been donated in the camps organized various offices & projects of SJVN.
As recognition of the noble efforts by the donors and to appreciate their valuable contribution, mementoes were presented to the donors by senior officers of SJVN. Dr. Apoorva Chauhan along with the team from Blood Bank, Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla with the help of the volunteers from SJVN, conducted the camp successfully.
