Amitava Mukherjee will continue to be CMD of NMDC

The tenure of Amitava Mukherjee as the Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of the National Mineral Development Corporation Limited (NMDC) has been extended for an additional year, effective from November 20, 2024, or until a regular incumbent is appointed to the position.

On November 14, 2024, the Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) selected Amitava Mukherjee for the post of CMD, NMDC. He has been holding this additional charge since the retirement of Sumit Deb on January 31, 2023.
