Bank Unions write a letter to Maharashtra Govt for the safety of employees

Mumbai: Unions write to the Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray about the concern of bank employees due to the irregularity of sanitization and social distancing norms. The number of COVID-19 patients is increasing rapidly and, in this pandemic, bankers are putting their lives on danger. 

In the letter, United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) said, "Despite standard operating procedure (SOP) prescribed by the central government as also state government and local administration, banks are not complying with regular sanitization of branches."
 
There are no security guards at the entrance for the safety and managing crowd, people also coming in heavy numbers due to lack of services provided to them and necessity issue and all of this violates the basic norms of social distancing and maintaining cleanliness. Hundreds of employees already infected by this virus in Mumbai.
