BEML supplied 64 trains as a Make In India partner
New Delhi: Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) an Indian Public Sector Undertaking recently supplied 64 trains to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation in the launch of the driverless metro which is inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
This supply is in the view of Make In India and self-reliant India, to become stronger and pushing India towards a great producer. CMD of BEML took tweeter and mentioned that "BEML supplied 64 trains as MakeInIndia partner, recently inaugurated by Hon’ble PM."
BEML has supplied more than 200 coaches to DMRC and has an order of 150 coaches from Bengaluru Metro. BEML has independently supplied about 140 cars to DMRC using transfer of technology from Hyundai ROTEM. It manufactures a variety of heavy equipment, such as that used for earthmoving, transport, and mining. BEML is Asia's second-largest manufacturer of earthmoving equipment, and it controls 70% of India's market in that sector
