NEW DELHI- BPCL has long supported and been committed to nurturing female talent.  As part of this commitment, BPCL partnered with Western India Automobile Association (WIAA) for the hugely-successful ‘Women’s Rally to the Valley’, which was flagged off today morning.

The rally with around 300 participants from various walks of life, started from NCPA, Nariman Point in Mumbai and after traversing through the city’s major landmarks, stopping at BPCL Fuel Stations for a pitstop, concluded in Nasik. The rally followed the Time, Speed & Distance format, a unique form of rallying where reaching the destination fastest was not the objective, but maintaining specified times and average speeds on a predefined route.

The participants gave voice to various themes ranging from child abuse, women empowerment, women’s safety and many more, with the decoration of their cars and wearing creative costumes.

Four teams from BPCL promoted ‘UFill’ a digital customer experience that delivers BPCL’s promise of ensuring that our customers have complete control over Time, Technology, and Transparency as part of their fuelling experience. All teams were stopped at Fuel Stations in Padga (in Panvel), Shahapur (in Thane), and Igatpuri (in Nasik) for the refueling pit spot. 

Soni Sharma, and Shital Jiwane ranked the sixth position and Rutuja Kesharwani was felicitated for being the youngest rally driver.

The rally was flag-off by PS Ravi, Executive Director Incharge (Retail), BPCL along with Vivek Phansalkar, Commissioner of Police, Mumbai; Pravin Padwal, Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Greater Mumbai; and Anuj Kathuria, President (India), JK Tyre & Industries.

Senior officials from BPCL, including Dinabandhu Mandal, Executive Director (Logistics) Retail, Subhankar Sen, Chief General Manager (Retail Initiative), S. Abbas Akhtar, Chief General Manager (PR & Brand), K Ravi, CGM Rural Initiatives, Anurag Sataogi, CGM Ethanol, Akshay Wadhwa, Head Retail (West), Rajeev Jaiswal, Chief General Manager (Strategy), were present at the flag off.
