BPCL receives Excellence award in Cargo handling at Cochin Port
New Delhi: The government-owned oil & gas producer, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited receives the award for Excellence in "Business Performance in Cargo/Ship handling at Cochin Port" for 2021-22.
Kochi Refinery team led by Mr. M. Sankar, Chief General Manager (Mfg) with Mr. SK Shukla, GM (OM&S), and Mr. Philly Cherian, DGM (OM&S- Marine Operations) received the award from the Chairperson of Cochin Port Trust Dr. M Beena IAS on 26 May 2022.
Approximately 58% of the cargo (about 20 Million Metric Tonnes) of Cochin Port was handled by BPCL for Kochi Refinery operations. Mr. PK. Mohammed Yousaf, IRS Commissioner of Customs, Cochin, Cmde Rajesh Kumar Yadav Naval Officer-In-Charge, Kerala, and Capt. Joseph Alapatt, Dy Conservator, and Cochin Port are also seen.
