Celebrating Excellence: SHRM HR Excellence Awards for PSEs and Jury Behind the Decision

Gurgaon, 18th September 2023 - In a significant recognition of exemplary human resource practices within the Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) in India, the SHRM HR Excellence Awards – PSE are all set to honor the pioneers who are reshaping the landscape of human resources.

This distinguished accolade acknowledges outstanding achievements in areas such as Learning and development, Community Impact, Health and Wellness Initiatives, and Developing Leaders of Tomorrow within the PSE sector.

What sets these awards apart is the caliber of the jury panel that came together to meticulously evaluate and select the deserving winners.

The panel includes industry stalwarts who have left an indelible mark on the sector:

Dr. Ashok Kumar Balyan: Former Director of ONGC and former MD & CEO of Petronet LNG, with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry.

Dr. V.K. Singh: CEO of the Power Sector Skill Council and former Director (Personnel) at Power Grid, bringing his deep knowledge of the power sector to the table.

Mr. Deepak Vijayendra Shastry: Former Executive Director (HRD) at GAIL and Executive Director (Personnel) at ECIL, with a wealth of experience in HR across sectors.

Mr. Chandra Kant Tiwari: Executive Director & Head of IiPM (IOCL), a distinguished leader in HR within the petroleum sector.

These eminent personalities recently convened at the SHRM office to undertake the challenging task of evaluating entries from various Public Sector Enterprises. They patiently sat through presentations and meticulously reviewed submitted forms to identify organizations that have demonstrated exceptional HR practices.

After extensive deliberation, the jury panel reached a consensus and selected the final list of winners across different award categories. These winners will be unveiled and celebrated at a grand award ceremony on October 12, 2023, during the SHRM Indian Annual Conference held at the Taj Palace.

The SHRM HR Excellence Awards – PSE are not only a recognition of outstanding HR practices but also a testament to the commitment of PSEs in India toward fostering innovation, inclusivity, and community impact.
