New Delhi: Coal India Limited (CIL) in a new CSR initiative has extended financial support of Rs. 10 crores towards the installation of a Linear Accelerator (LINAC) radiotherapy unit at Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre & Research Institute, Kolkata to help create affordable cancer treatment. Shri. Pramod Agrawal, Chairman, Coal India Limited, inaugurated the LINAC radiotherapy unit at the Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre & Research Institute in Kolkata. Shri. Vinay Ranjan, Director (P&IR), CIL was also present on the occasion.

Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre and Research Institute, Kolkata is registered as a non-profit society and offers subsidised cancer treatment to the underprivileged through donations, grants, and philanthropy extended by various organisations and individuals.
