Coal India organised seminar on GST for Coal Sector
GST issues related to the coal industry, it’s legal provisions and probable solutions were widely discussed in the seminar.

New Delhi: Coal India Limited, the largest coal-producer in the world and a Maharatna public sector undertaking organised a seminar on “Burning issues in GST with respect to Coal Industry” in association with Eastern India Regional Council (EIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) at its Hq. in Kolkata.
Shri. Pramod Agrawal, Chairman, CIL, CA Ravi Kumar Patwa, Chairman - EIRC of ICAI, senior office bearers of EIRC of ICAI and senior finance officials participated in the seminar. Shri. Samiran Dutta, CMD - BCCL, Directors (Finance) of various CIL subsidiaries and other senior officials of CIL & its subsidiaries participated via videoconferencing.
GST issues related to the coal industry, it’s legal provisions and probable solutions were widely discussed in the seminar. Around 700 participants from CIL & its subsidiaries and other allied sectors attended the seminar held through both physical and virtual mode.
