New Delhi: Minister of Education and Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated an indoor sports complex at IIT Indore today with Prof. Deepak B Phatak, Chairperson, BoG, IIT I, and Prof. Suhas S Joshi, Director.
The sports facility will be key in promoting a healthy lifestyle on the campus and boosting leadership & management skills.
Minister together with Prof. Deepak B Phatak, Chairperson, BoG, IIT Indore, Director Shri Suhas S Joshi, senior academics of the institute and senior officials of Ministry of Education reviewed a presentation on the programs being offered at IIT Indore and their future plans.
Minister said IIT Indore should aim to enhance industry-corporate linkages and establish itself as a multi-varsity research centre to further public good and transform local and rural livelihoods.
He also directed IIT Indore to establish a skill development centre in collaboration with local industry, a teachers training institute and also a multi-disciplinary sports complex to promote sports and skills to drive national missions.
