DVC Achieves 100 pct. Plant Load Factor

New Delhi: The Koderma Thermal Power Station (KTPS) of DVC achieved a PLF of 100% on 14th May 2020. The power station has an installed capacity of 1000 MW (2X500 MW) and is located in the State of Jharkhand.

This operational excellence has come in the midst of the pandemic where there is a nationwide lockdown. In spite of the difficult circumstances, DVC employees after adopting necessary health precautions have been working 24x7 to ensure sustained supply of power to the nation. As part of the strong CSR culture, DVC employees are continuously extending their assistance by distributing ration, drinking water, masks and sanitizers to the nearby villages & communities in the vicinity of its power stations and especially to the migrant workers.
 
In another recent operational achievement, DVC power stations clocked its highest ever generation of 36998 Million Units (MU) of electricity in FY 2019-20. With an installed capacity of 7107 MW (7 thermal & 3 hydel stations), these achievements give a positive fillip to one of the leading power majors of India. In recent years, DVC has focused on supplying affordable and reliable power to its consumers and has shown an operational turnaround.
